Cate Gerstberger forever changed my life and I am so.freaking.excited. that you get to meet her in this episode of the Make One Day Happen podcast. There is some debate as to who said “when the student is ready the teacher appears”, some say Buddha, some say Tao Te Ching….regardless, it’s amazing how the universe will conspire to give us exactly what we need if we’re open to receiving it.

I found Cate back in 2018 when I was in the weeds of my life. My marriage was a mess, I was wildly unfulfilled with my work, and I was in the scariest depths of my own mental hell trying to figure it all out. Recommended by a friend, I reached out to Cate for support, specifically in my relationship.

She was quick to clarify that she was not a counselor or therapist, and that while she normally worked with individuals, she will willing to take me and my partner at the time on as a couple.

In our sessions, Cate held space for us each to identify thought patterns that were created in our childhood that we were stuck in and causing the issues we were currently experiencing in our relationship. She supported me in creating new neural pathways to rewire my brain. It was a transformative process that has completely shifted my being.

It wasn’t easy, and it wasn’t quick. It lead my partner and I to choosing divorce instead of continuing to engage with patterns that aren’t healthy for us. And it was the best thing I’ve ever done for myself. It’s lead me back to knowing who I am and what I’m here to do in this lifetime.

Cate has been one of the most profound teachers of my life and I’m so grateful for her. Her work has impacted what I teach others on a daily basis. I’m so honored to be able to carry on the torch with her blessing as a steward of helping others realize that everything they have ever needed is within.

There are so many magical moments in this episode, some of my favorite ideas we explore:
-we break down the thinking-feeling loop so you can see how every human, no matter who they are, where they are from, or what they have experienced falls into this trap
-how getting to know your inner child will completely transform your relationship with yourself, allowing you to step into self-love, worthiness, and your full power
-giving credit where credit is due; this isn’t new information or ideas and being able to grasp them for yourself and share them with others is imperative for shifting the consciousness of humanity
-discuss the age of Aquarius that we are stepping into and what that means for dismantling oppressive thought patterns for individuals and collective groups in society
-some book recommendations for those ready to look at the history and culture of our Indigenous people in America

If you are feeling stuck in your own mind, frustrated with your circumstances in life, or defeated by all things you’ve tried without seeing any significant changes (therapy, personal development, etc.) PLEASE LISTEN TO THIS EPISODE. I promise it will offer you insights to what’s happening for you and how you can take steps to start addressing it.

And if you resonate with what Cate and I have to say and are ready for support in figuring it out for yourself, please reach out. It’s our life calling to help you with this. You can find Cate at www.categerstberger.com and you can book a call with me here to see how I can help.
